Synopsis: “Today, she hates him.
It’s the last day of senior year. Rowan Roth and Neil McNair have been bitter rivals for all of high school, clashing on test scores, student council elections, and even gym class pull-up contests. While Rowan, who secretly wants to write romance novels, is anxious about the future, she’d love to beat her infuriating nemesis one last time.
Tonight, she puts up with him.
When Neil is named valedictorian, Rowan has only one chance at victory: Howl, a senior class game that takes them all over Seattle, a farewell tour of the city she loves. But after learning a group of seniors is out to get them, she and Neil reluctantly decide to team up until they’re the last players left—and then they’ll destroy each other.
As Rowan spends more time with Neil, she realizes he’s much more than the awkward linguistics nerd she’s sparred with for the past four years. And, perhaps, this boy she claims to despise might actually be the boy of her dreams.
Tomorrow…maybe she’s already fallen for him.”
I don’t even know where to begin with this book. How can I possibly put all my feelings about Today Tonight Tomorrow into words? Oh my gosh there are so many feelings. This book stole my heart and is still on my mind two months after finishing it.
The timing in this book was perfection. I’ve always been hesitant about books that take place over 24hr periods, but again…this book blew me away. The pacing was perfect and kept me totally captivated while reading. I personally adored the plot with The Howl, which is pretty much a huge scavenger hunt. It was amazing and watching these two unlikely characters team up to win was everything.
And speaking of everything, these characters were. freaking. amazing. Individually they both had amazing flaws and development that made them feel authentic. It gave their story an utterly real feeling that made reading this book all the more enjoyable. I adore these characters individually and together.
I never even realized how much I’ve been missing an academic enemies-to-lovers romance until I read this book. And now? I’m craving more. Rowan and Neil’s complicated feelings and overall relationship was amazing beyond words. It was electric, heartwarming, and so emotional that you could feel it through the pages.
Gosh, this book is just masterful. There is so much to love about it. Even aside from everything I’ve already talked about it, Today Tonight Tomorrow is phenomenal in more ways. For example, it has fantastic Jewish representation. It also discusses the stigma around romance novels. It’s incredible, this book is truly incredible.
Overall, I cannot recommend this book more. It’s the type of book that you can’t help but fall in love with. The writing is wonderful, the plot is gripping, the characters are real, and in the 24hrs I got to peek into Rowan & Neil’s life I fell completely and totally in love with their story. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book, you’re gonna love it.
Ps. I normally don’t plug preorder information but: If you preorder the book and submit your receipt here you’ll get some fantastic preorder gifts including a signed book plate and beautiful character art!
