Happy September everyone! Unfortunately, August has been one of the hardest months I’ve had in a long time… and It reflects on my reading. I went back to high school to start my Junior year early in the month and I was no where near ready for all the stress that was to come this early. The sudden increase of workload forced me to take a step back and away from all the bookish activities I love, which has truly been miserable. My reading suffered, my bookstagram suffered, and my mental health did too. I’m forcing myself to make no promises for September, but I am hoping this new month will be the fresh start I need to get everything back into a balance I can handle! There are a lot of new releases and exciting ARCs for me to devour this month and I cannot wait to sit down and read them all. But, for now, here are all the books that I managed to read in August 2019:
- Frankly in Love by David Yoon 4/5 stars
- She’s the Worst by Lauren Spieller 4.5/5 stars
- American Royals by Katharine McGee 5/5 stars
- A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer 5/5 stars
- Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin 1/5 stars DNF
Total Pages Read: 2034
Favorite Reads of the Month:
A Curse so Dark and Lonely
American Royals
Least Favorite Read of the Month:
Serpent and Dove
And just like that, August has come to a close. I hope September is a great month for you. I hope it is the best reading month of your year, that all the new releases live up to your hopes and dreams, and that you find time to relax as the season changes.
