One of my favorite things this year, and the only reason I survived my reading challenge, was audio books! I’ve been going through long fazes of using them, and then not for a long while now and because of that I have listened to my fair share of them! I love hearing recommendations for audio books and thought it would be fun to share my own. I listened to a lot of these at the end of the year as a way to get through some school work and they helped me focus AND hit my goal of reading 80 books. It was a total win-win. But without further ado, here are a few of my favorite audio books that are worth giving a listen to:
Caraval by Stephanie Garber
I loved the narrator for this story, she really brought the book to life! I didn’t read the sequel, Legendary, through audio book but I believe it’s read by the same narrator.
This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab
I read both books in the Monsters of Verity duology through audio book and loved them! It made the story very quick to fly through and love. I really enjoyed the narrator’s voice in this one. However, it was annoying that I didn’t know how some of the character’s name’s were spelled for a while. Haha.
Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
I love this series so much and reading the first book over audio really helped me grow to love the story. There are a lot of really gross bloody scenes in this book and letting those words fly by on audio made a lot of the darker scenes a lot easier to stomach. Plus the accent of the narrator is a lot of fun!
The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas
I have fallen IN LOVE with reading Kara Thomas’ books on audio but The Cheerleaders
was my favorite in particular! I loved how the shock factor felt delivered through the voice of the narrator who voiced both the protagonist and her dead sister.
Royals by Rachel Hawkins
This book was a lot of fun to read! It was funny, playful and easy to fly through. I loved hearing all of Daisy’s sass in an actual voice, it made the story very enjoyable and fun! It was a short book that kept me good company during a few hours of chores ( and made them slightly less painful to do).
Laurie
I recommend you Sadie and The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo on audio 🙂
